Enjoy your Christmas Break!

It's the time of year for holiday cheer, but it's also a time when lots of sickness is going around.  We are looking for parent volunteers who could assist in the classroom or cafeteria for two or three hours at a time when the need for extra help arises. If you don't mind being called on short notice, and have your safe environment training as well as a background check, contact Lacy Moore at to volunteer.
Current School Families
Re-enrollment for
January 7 - 18, 2019

All Current school families will be required to re-enroll their child(ren) between Monday, January 7 and Friday, January 18, 2019. The Re-enrollment fee will be $65.00
(per child) and will be charged through Sycamore.

Re-enrollment must be completed  to guarantee a place for them in the 2019-2020 school year.
This applies ONLY to students already enrolled at SMM.

Snow Day Information

An email was sent to all school families on Tuesday, November 13 concerning school procedures in case of inclement weather. Please  click here  for the details. This information is also on the school website   under Parent Resources, then Snow Days.

Franciscan Kitchen Volunteers

On Tuesday, December 18, the following students will accompany Lisa Gahwyler  to volunteer:  Austin Gahwyler, Payton Helmerich, and Grant Wilson.

Tribute to Davey Albright

If you happen to drive by the Shelbyhurst Office Park (500 - 700 N. Hurstbourne Parkway) this weekend, please take a moment to notice the green lights on 3 of the buildings . The lights are shining green  in memory of SMM alum and Trinity High School student Davey Albright. The employees of those buildings are also taking up a collection in Davey's memory for the Kentucky Organ Donation Association (KODA).

We invite the families of the parish to  sign up t o light the Advent candles at each Mass during this joyful season of anticipation!

We ask that you arrive to your chosen Mass 15-minutes early to let the presider know your family is there, otherwise they will need to find others to fill in.

Christmas Eve
5:00 p.m. Mass

We need volunteers (adults willing to serve as leadership & 10-12 workers) to help organize the parking for Christmas Eve 5:00 p.m. Masses. This involves arriving at 3:45 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24. There will be reserved seating in the church for the volunteers and their  families.

If you missed submitting your Stewardship Commitment Card at Mass before Thanksgiving, please drop it off at the parish office or send it into the school office.
Please remember that all parish school families must return a completed stewardship card in order to enroll for the 2019-20 school year.
