No School!
It's the time of year when lots of sickness is going around.  We are looking for parent volunteers who could assist in the classroom or cafeteria for two or three hours at a time when the need for extra help arises. If you don't mind being called on short notice, and have your safe environment training as well as a background check, contact Lacy Moore at  lmoore@stmm.org  to volunteer.
Thank you!
The numbers are in... t his year's Fall Festival raised just over $17,000 for our school (our goal was $15,000!) Thank you to everyone's incredible generosity of time, talent, treasure and patience as we successfully moved the event indoors this year. It was a fun night for all.

News from Mrs. Sims

Happy New Year! I hope your holiday break was happy and blessed. We are all ready to dive into the second trimester of learning. This is a time for exploring new curriculum, learning new skills and gaining in confidence. The children and teachers have quickly gotten back into their school routines. We are excited to be able to work and play with our friends again. It was great to see so many smiling faces this week!

In Jan. of each year, we begin planning for the following school year. We start with the Re-Enrollment Process of current students. We, then, begin accepting applications for new students. In working with the parish office, we look at budgeting and planning for students, personnel, programs, and facility needs. Please be mindful of the timelines involved, as well as the care and concern that goes into planning and facilitating the school year. It is always done with love and a passion for St. Margaret Mary School and its students.

May God Bless You and Your Family,
Wendy Sims

New Organizational Skills for Children!

The start of a new year is tied to resolutions and renewed commitments to getting our lives back on track: Making healthier choices. Reading more. Organizing our space.  Attending church regularly. What if this year, we also use these precious first days of a new year as an opportunity to teach children a few skills for bringing order into their lives, as well? Click here to read some great information on  12 Ways to Develop Your Child's Organizational Skills.
