Band-Aid Raid

This band-aid fundraiser supports Supplies Over Seas in their mission to help the needy in other countries.

Please donate boxes of band-aids (any brand/any size) OR you may donate money  $1.00 = 1 box.

The homeroom with the most boxes of band-aids will earn an

Parents of Archdiocesan students are invited to attend a session regarding technology and their children. It comes highly recommended. Please click here to register. It is free, but spaces are filling up.
It's the time of year when lots of sickness is going around.  We are looking for parent volunteers who could assist in the classroom or cafeteria for two or three hours at a time when the need for extra help arises. If you don't mind being called on short notice, and have your safe environment training as well as a background check, contact Lacy Moore at  lmoore@stmm.org  to volunteer.
SMM Childcare Helpers Needed!

Our Childcare Ministry needs some volunteers! We offer childcare during 10:00 a.m. Mass on Sundays, Couples Date Nights, and several other events throughout the year. Could you offer your time? On Tuesday, January 22 the following students will accompany  Kami Lewis  to volunteer: Gavin Lewis  and Adam Wickel.

2019 Stewardship Cards 
Due NOW!

If you missed submitting your Stewardship Commitment Card at Mass before Thanksgiving, please drop it off at the parish office or send it into the school office.
 
Please remember that all parish school families must return a completed stewardship card in order to enroll for the 2019-20 school year.
SMM Tennis
1st-8th grade boys & girls

SMM tennis will practice as a team on Tuesdays  from 5:00-6:00 p.m. starting Tuesday, February 2 6. All levels are welcome. The kids will need to qualify to play in the matches which will be held on Saturdays starting in March. Verification for their ratings will be Monday, February 25 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.  
 
The cost for tennis is $70 and the deadline to register is February 20. A $10 late fee will be assessed beyond that date. Click here to register. Questions? Please contact Marcela Newman at stmmtennis@hotmail.com.

Current school families must complete an online re-enrollment process by the end of day today, Friday, January 18. Completing the re-enrollment process is how you hold a place for your child(ren) for the 2019-20 school year. Only students currently enrolled at SMM will complete the re-enrollment. The process will include a $65 fee per child. Please click here for detailed instructions.

Free Dress Day
Wednesday, 
January 23

Your child may participate in Free Dress next Wednesday, January 23 in exchange for a donation to Helping Hands. Your donation will be used to purchase meals that will be packaged by our SMM community on Saturday, March 2 in the gym. Our goal is to raise enough money to package 45,000 meals. Each meal costs $0.50 and feeds six. The packaged meals will be sent to Burkina Faso Africa. Checks may be made to SMM, with Helping Hands in the memo line.

Volunteers
Besides your financial support, we will need 200 volunteers to staff our two shifts at noon and 2:30 p.m. All ages are welcome. There are fun jobs for everyone - young and old! Register by clicking here!

Father/Daughter Dance
"When you wish upon a star"

Again this year we will be crowning a Princess and King of the Father/Daughter Dance. All girls in the 8th grade that pre-register for the Father/Daughter Dance will be put on a ballot. Everyone attending the dance will be able to vote once for the couple of their choice. The couple receiving the most votes and are present at the time of the drawing will be crowned Princess and King of the Dance! Registration must be received by Wednesday January 23 to qualify. Boys Volleyball
3rd-8th grade

Boys volleyball is a fun, relaxed and very short league! SMM has enjoyed great success through the years in this sport, and we encourage all boys in 3rd through 8th grade to be a part of the fun! No experience is necessary. Click here to register.
 
Tryouts 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. in the gym (check-in at 5:30 p.m.)
  • February 18th for 3/4th grade,
  • February 19th for 5/6th grade
  • February 20th for 7/8th grade
The entire season lasts less than a month so any boys wanting to play soccer/lacrosse won't need to worry about volleyball interfering!
