News from Mrs. Sims
I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. It's hard to believe that we are already completing the third full week of school! This week in mass, Fr. Mark talked to the students about their ability to evangelize, "share the good news", with others. As I walk the halls and visit the classrooms, I can truly see Christ in your children and the staff members. They care for and support each other. They are excited about learning and work hard to do their best. They focus on the good and enjoy their time together. They a re welcoming and accepting of each other's differences and celebrate everyone's successes. Each day they share the good news by being Christ to others. We are so blessed!
The teachers are completing their Professional Growth Plans for the year. They are working in teams and individually to set goals in the areas of Catholic Identity, Teaching/Learning and School Specific goals. This plan will be evaluated throughout the school year to ensure growth. It is a great tool for supervision and has been updated by the archdiocese this past summer. Your school staff is committed to excellence and improvement.
Today commemorates an important tragic event in U.S. History. This morning, we spent a moment of silence to pray for our country and peace in the world. "Lord God of peace, comfort those who mourn, guide our hearts towards healing and hope, remind us always of your love. Lord, keep our nation safe and strong. God bless America."
May God Bless You and Your Family,
Wendy Sims
