News from Mrs. Sims

"The Lord is near to the broken- hearted and saves
the crushed in spirit" PS 34:18

This has been a difficult week for the SMM community as we mourn the loss of two special members of our family, Davey Albright and Angie Kopp.  We find light in the darkness when we see God in the goodness and generosity of others.  Our strong and loving community always rallies in support of others, and that is something to be grateful for. This prayer is one that I wanted to share with you this week.  Take care of yourselves and continue to share the light of God.

Father,
You hold time within your hands, and see it all, from beginning to end. Please keep and carry these precious people in their sadness and loss. Cover them with your great wings of love, give their weary hearts rest and their minds sound sleep. Lord, lift their eyes so that they may catch a glimpse of eternity, and be comforted by the promise of heaven.

We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

TEST - Emergency Text Alert
10:00 a.m. Tuesday
September 18

Please take a few minutes to complete these steps
to be sure that you will receive Emergency Text Alerts from the school. Random things do come up that we may need to alert you about throughout the school year. The alerts include bus delays, snow days, etc.

Even if you completed this process last year, it would be beneficial for each parent to confirm your cell number, cell phone carrier, etc. Please be sure to select the bus your child rides on, too.

A test message will be sent to all families who have completed these steps on Tuesday, September 18 at 10:00 am.
Thank you!
