Fall Conferences 
Forms Due Friday, September 28

Our Fall Parent-Teacher-Student (PTS) conferences will be held on:
  • Wednesday, October 10
    2:00 - 7:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, October 11
    7:30 a.m. - noon

A form was e-mailed on Thursday detailing more specific information. Please click here if you need an additional form. These forms are to be returned to only or oldest child's homeroom teacher by Friday, September 28. We appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to seeing everyone at conferences.

A big thank you to our 7/8th grade families for hosting a delicious Dine & Dash luncheon on Tuesday for the entire SMM staff.  We loved all of the yummy Mexican food and tasty desserts.

Rosary Club
Starting in October

The Rosary Club will begin on Thursdays starting October 18 for 4-8th grade students. Third grade students may join beginning November 4. Students are welcome to join year around! Click here to access the Rosary Club information and registration sheet.

News from Mrs. Sims

I've got some important questions for you. Why did you send your child, or children, to St. Margaret Mary School? What are the benefits of a faith-filled education? What is it about the tradition and excellence of our school that makes you proud? I'm sure that your answers will vary and that on any given day they could be different. As your principal, I'm asking that we all focus on the positive aspects of our school and refrain from dwelling on the perceived negatives. Posting negative comments on social media is not an effective way to bring about change. It is merely a way to spread more negativity, and it hurts our school.

Each parent and student signs a form at the beginning of the school year stating that they will abide by the rules in the school handbook. Are you expected to agree with every rule? Of course not. Are you expected to support and follow the rules? Yes. That is part of what we do as good school citizens. The rules that we have here keep students safe, keep students focused on their work, foster kindness and acceptance, and allow the staff to focus on what is truly important each day. Thank you for supporting SMM!

Blessing of the Animals
Thursday, October 4

Football Field

In order that our student dismissal runs smoothly that day, please abide by the following:

Anyone bringing an animal to be blessed is asked to park in the church parking lot, NOT in the regular carpool line.
  • Please let your child's teacher know that he/she will need to be dismissed at 2:15 pm on that day so that they can attend the Blessing. You can send a note or e-mail to the homeroom teacher letting them know that your child will have a pet participating in the Blessing.
  • If you have a dog to be blessed, you will need to gather on the end of the football field closest to the church.
  • If you have a cat to be blessed, you will need to gather on the end of the football field closest to the PAC.
  • All the other animals will need to gather in the middle of the football field.
  • Immediately following the Blessing, you and your child/children are dismissed and should proceed to your cars.
  • All those students not participating in the Blessing will be dismissed at 2:45 pm

Our Mustang Mile fundraiser kicks off in just 1 WEEK! We will kick off with a pep rally next Friday, September 28th! The Mustang Mile will take place on October 19th! T he Fall Festival Decoration Committee is looking for Halloween decorations new or gently used. If you have any that you would like to donate, please email Whitney Thompson or Susan Vlahos and we will arrange pick up.
