Parent Teacher Student Fall Conferences 

Our Fall Parent-Teacher-Student (PTS) conferences will be held on Thursday, October 6 from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm. These conferences provide an excellent opportunity for all of us to reflect on the school year to date and on how your child has adjusted to the expectation of his/her learning environment. 

A form was e-mailed today detailing more specific information. Please click here if you need an additional form. These forms are to be returned to your child's homeroom teacher by Friday, September 23. We appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to seeing everyone at Conferences.
We all love dogs, but for the safety of all, please leave your 4-legged friends in your car or at home during afternoon carpool. Thank you!

There are two new after school enrichment offerings now listed on our school website. A Homework Group for K-8 and Rosary Club grades 3-8 will both begin in October.

Duke TIP Qualifiers

Congratulations to the 7th grade students who qualified for the Duke University Talent Identification Program.  Qualification is based on standardized test scores from the Terra Nova or InView.

News from Mrs. Sims

Keeping your children safe and happy is one of my main goals each day.  We practiced all of our safety drills both this and last week.  The students did an excellent job of remaining quiet, following directions, and assisting those who needed extra help.  I am proud of how quickly the JK and K students were able to catch on.  Remember, that we will have a Safe Schools Assessment team visit us in October.  I am hopeful that they will provide further insight into how to best keep our staff and students safe.

On another note, we will host an External Review Team for Archdiocesan Accreditation next Tuesday afternoon.  We were chosen as one of 8 schools to represent the archdiocese in this endeavor.  The team will spend most of their time observing in our classrooms.  I am confident that the students and staff will represent the Archdiocese of Louisville in an exemplary manner.  We have such talented staff and students!  Who wouldn't want to be a Mustang?!

The Fall Festival Committee is looking for volunteers to help with this year's Classroom Creations which are part of our Silent Auction. We are in need of volunteers in grades JK, K, 1st, and 4th. Sycamore Education App

There is an app for Sycamore. It is user friendly, and we think you will like the ease of viewing the school calendar, the family directory, and your student's grade progress.

St. Margaret Mary School will be hosting an Open House on  Tuesday, October 25 for prospective school families. Tours are available at  9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 am and 6:00 pm beginning at the school office.
Basketball Sign-ups Open NOW!
We're excited about another hoops season so don't wait to get your 3 - 8 grade son or daughter signed up at

The cost is $70 per player if you sign up by September 30.  There is a late fee of $10 after September 30.  You must sign up by October 14!  This is to allow adequate time for determination of number of teams, coaches and uniforms.  You may pay when you register, but the fee is not due until Oct 14th.  

There are tryouts in late October; we usually have 3 - 8 teams per age division.  Practices are twice a week starting in November. League games are played at various schools in December and January. CSAA tournament (5- 8 grades) begins first week of February with the finals the 2nd or 3rd weekend of February.
