Pandemic Pay
As in prior communications from JNESO, we are pursuing legal actions regarding the employer's unilateral implementation of Pandemic Pay as being disparate and discriminatory. That is, they did not bargain with the Union, left out whole departments, and are paying different amounts to different titles without rationale.

JNESO was told that the Pandemic Pay is a PRIME Corporate decision based on staffing challenges. This answer is unacceptable and therefore we are again pursuing arbitration and a charge with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).

The January 8th, letter Saint Michael’s Medical Center issued to JNESO, stated Pandemic Pay would be offered to members effective January 10th, 2021. All members were made aware of the Pandemic Pay offer made by Saint Michael’s Medical Center.

We understand members did not yet receive Pandemic Pay as offered. Management now says there was a processing issue and that Pandemic Pay for this pay period will be in members' next paycheck.

We will update you as more information becomes available regarding JNESO’s actions against Saint Michael’s for this disparate and discriminatory monetary incentive.
