New Principals!

Dear Families,

Guest-written by Rose (4th grade) and Mariam (6th) Mathai

My name is Rose and I am glad I got to be Principal for the day. On my day I first got to greet all of the students at my school. Next I got to do announcements in front of the whole school. I was scared. Then we had to pass out bingo cards and chips because next we were going to play schoolwide bingo. Also got to eat lunch of my choice and invite a few friends too. We also got to have a school tour, we got to go anywhere i wanted to go if the principal (the real one) could open the door to it. Last i got to teach a class (Mrs. Preez’s)spanish. It Was so much fun.

I really appreciate being a student at SMV because the staff and teachers are so nice and helpful, the students are so caring and supportive of me. I learn a lot from my school because the teachers are always stopping to make sure that you understand it and make sure that you are getting good help and learning good knowledge.

My name is Mariam Mathai and I got to be principal for the day. On my day, I got to greet all the SMV students, lead the daily announcements, be in charge of schoolwide bingo, eat a special Chick-fil-a lunch with Mr. Spelter and some friends, and go on a tour of all the secret rooms around the school and parish.

I really appreciate being a student at SMV because the teachers are so kind and understanding. They always make sure everyone understands the topic before moving on. I also love that I can learn about and further understand my faith.

Congratulations!

One day she is here in the Library at school, celebrating a special Brewers Dress Down day in honor of Bob Uecker, and the next day, she's having a baby! We are very excited for Mrs. Libby Kohn and her husband, James, on the birth of their daughter, Philomena.

While Mrs. Kohn will not be in our Library or classrooms anymore (until she decides to visit us!), we wish her well with her newest and most important role. Ms. Catherine Raster, a familiar face to our students, is now working in the Library.

Wishing many blessings to the Kohn family!

7th Grade Families

We invite parents and 7th-grade boys to explore Marquette University High School with a campus visit shadow day. During this day, 7th-grade students are matched with a current student host to experience a day in the life of a Hilltopper.

Schedule a visit at https://muhs.info/visit-muhs

Students will be paired with a host student to attend classes, meet teachers, eat lunch with current students, take a tour and ask questions.

Parents may also attend a morning coffee session to meet the Director of Admissions, Mr. John Meuler, learn more about Marquette High and the admissions process, walk around to see classes in action and ask questions in a small group setting. The parent session is optional and lasts 45-60 minutes.
