CRA is committed to ensuring our member companies have the latest information on SNAP funding, as these developments affect every California community where stores operate, regardless of the retail sector.
This morning the United Stated Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service (USDA FNS) distributed the guidance to States regarding SNAP benefits and administrative expenses for November 2025. View the guidance HERE.
Due to the limited availability of Federal funding and orders from two Federal courts, FNS is reducing SNAP maximum allotments to 50% of the eligible household’s current allotment as described in the USDA FNS Table of Benefits. Download the Benefits Table HERE.
The reduction applies to November 2025 benefit issuance and does not impact any prior benefits. This information is also available on USDA's website. USDA has confirmed that the contingency fund will be depleted after this fund distribution.
CRA is in communication with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) to make sure benefits are released as soon as possible, as it will take CDSS some time to get these funds to SNAP recipients.
Once we hear the funds distribution schedule, we will make sure to send another update. For any questions, please contact Leticia Garcia at leticia@calretailers.com or 209-598-8189.
