TRAVEL IN UGANDA, before and after!

Until recently, the muddy roads around St. Julie's Mission in Buseesa, Uganda, were a challenge that the aging mission truck could not easily handle!

Thanks to the generosity of many donors, a new truck is providing safe transportation for the SNDs, lay teachers and students.  Special blessings for our truck donors!

Thank you for our new truck!

FOURTH ANNUAL NUN RUN,
run with purpose & passion

Saturday, February 3, 2018 - just 1 week away!

Congratulations to the top 5 teams in the School/Church organization category as of today:

#1 - Our Lady of Guadalupe School Spartans
#2 - Notre Dame Learning Center Preschool
#3 - La Reina Regents
#4 - USC Catholic Trojans
#5 - SND Associates

There is still time to register for the Fourth Annual Nun Run online.  Can't make it because you will be recovering from the flu or will be out-of-town or ????   Then register as a Virtual Runner. Virtual Runners will receive an event shirt and can join in the Team Competitions.   Your participation in person, in prayer, and as a virtual runner raises funds and awareness for the many ministries of the Sisters of Notre Dame locally and around the world.

The festivities will include a 5K run, 1 mile walk, a Fair-Trade Marketplace, a Community Service Fair, a pancake breakfast and a chance to meet your friends and make new friends!

Questions?  Just email Jen Coito or call her at 805-917-3730.  Also contact her if you have registered and now want to join a team.

The Sisters of Notre Dame are deeply grateful to everyone who is participating in this great event--in any capacity.  The funds raised will support the SND outreach to more than 10,000 people through education, faith formation, spiritual development, health/pastoral care and social ministries.  Thank you again!

Holy Family School, Glendale
Holy Trinity School, San Pedro
La Reina High School & Middle School, Thousand Oaks
Notre Dame Learning Center Preschool, Thousand Oaks
Notre Dame Schools of Los Angeles, Los Angeles
Our Lady of Guadalupe School, Oxnard
St. Catherine of Siena School, Reseda
St. Dominic's School, Eagle Rock
St. John's Seminary, Camarillo
St. Julie Primary Model Boarding School, Buseesa, Uganda

We offer our spiritual support and encouragement to all involved in Catholic schools, both here and around the world.  We cherish and thank the many Sisters of Notre Dame, staff, parents, benefactors and alums who have been part of our legacy of Catholic education here in California since 1924.   In particular, we congratulate everyone (especially our donors) who have been involved at St. Julie's in Buseesa-- celebrating their 20th anniversary on February 2!

Blessings always,
