Have you noticed the little snip in the air lately? The one that gives us hope at this time of year that the heat is dissipating a tiny bit? Maybe it’s just my wishful thinking, and there’s no cool nip in the air yet, but it seems like just a snip of a change, and sometimes we grasp ahold of anything positive! A snip is better than nothing, right??? Murfee has even noticed it more: he’s spending more time outside in the evening, is back to his regular run run run schedule, his hearing has become again more selective to tuning out my voice, and when he can’t find a rabbit to chase, he’ll chase a bird and never know how totally futile that is! But he’s a happier boy right now and has dug in (literally) a shady spot from which he can survey his kingdom. He has snipped away a few low hanging branches at his spot so he can better see out, ready to run to chase without anything in his way. He’s back to being a boy in control! Heaven help us all when the snip becomes a snippet then to down right cooler air! | |

We just got in a great selection of real cork for you to use in and for your bags. This cork is imported to us from Portugal, beautifully designed and backed. If you like the product, I’m more than happy to order more. And they are cut in useful sizes for you that won’t break your bank! Matter of fact, we are putting together a Make and Take Class for you which uses cork for small glass cases, wristlettes, passport covers and such. Friday, join us for a wonderful new class with Katie called “In the Big Woods”. Class starts at 9:30, so sign up now and get your supply list. It’s a very versatile quilt, and can be scrappy or not, color hued or not. Your choice. Patterns are at the front desk, sample is in the classroom. Size is up to you…lap or king or in between.
