The Southern New Jersey Development Council (SNJDC) proudly hosted newly appointed NJ Transit President & CEO Kris Kolluri, appearing at his first public event since being tapped by Governor Murphy to lead the agency. Held at the Courtyard by Marriott at Rowan University, in Glassboro, NJ, the event brought together leaders in transportation, business, and government to discuss critical issues shaping the future of economic development in New Jersey.


Camden County Commissioner Director Lou Cappelli, and Dr. Tony Lowman, Provost of Rowan University, delivered the opening remarks at the event, prior to Kolluri taking stage for this keynote address.

Meet the Legislators - Districts 7 & 8

Tuesday, February 25th | DoubleTree Suites by Hilton

On Tuesday, February 25th, the SNJDC proudly hosted the legislators of Districts 7 & 8 at the DoubleTree Suites in Mount Laurel, NJ.


In attendance was Assembly Majority Whip Carol Murphy (D-7), Senator Latham Tiver (R-8), Assemblywoman Andrea Katz (D-8) and Assemblyman Michael Torrissi, Jr (R-8). The program was moderated by Battleship New Jersey's CEO, Marshall Spevak, who also serves as the Co-Chair for the SNJDC Government Affairs Committee.

Jim Andrews, President & CEO of Deborah Heart and Lung Center provided background on Deborah’s ongoing development and gave insight into the changing cardiovascular market, expected to experience significant growth in both inpatient and outpatient settings.


The committee followed the presentation with a discussion on future 2025 events.

Urban Engineers Receives ACEC/PA Diamond Award for Easton Road Roundabouts


Urban Engineers is pleased to announce that it has been honored with a Diamond Award by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania (ACEC/PA) for its work on the Easton Road Roundabouts Safety Improvements project. This award highlights Urban's commitment to enhancing transportation infrastructure, focusing on safety, innovation, and community engagement.


The Easton Road Roundabouts project was initiated to address traffic congestion and improve safety at the complex intersection of Easton Road and New Britain Road/Sauerman Road in Doylestown Township, PA. In collaboration with PennDOT District 6-0, our team employed modern design strategies and actively engaged with local stakeholders to develop a solution that meets both current and future needs. Jon Bon Jovi Soul Kitchen Pop-Up Opens at Ocean County Library in Downtown Toms River

Brazilian Team to Practice on Campus Before FIFA Club World Cup


One of Brazil’s most iconic and globally beloved soccer teams has announced that it will train at Stockton University this summer, ahead of its first two matches for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™. CR Flamengo, based in Brazil’s largest city Rio de Janeiro, has an estimated fan base of nearly 50 million and is reportedly the country’s most valuable soccer team.
