Wu Qin Xi (Five Animal Exercises) is a set of Health Qigong imitating the movements of tigers, deer, bears, monkeys and birds. It was designed by Hua Tuo, a leading physician of the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220AD). It is based on existing ancient Chinese traditional physical exercises following theories of the functions of the internal organs and meridians as well as the principles of the circulations of Qi and blood in the human body. Wu Qin Xi is the theme of this year's World Health Qigong Day. All International Health Qigong Federation member organizations are called to promote and learn Wu Qin Xi around the world to understand the charm of Wu Qin Xi and to further understand Health Qigong.

This workshop will be taught by Shifu Shirley Chock and will include detailed instructions on the movements of each of the five animals, along with information on which organs and meridians are stimulated by each of the movements.
