Tis the season for shopping local
Let the Holiday Fun Begin!

The start of holiday and online shopping promotions is here! Plaid Friday is on November 26 and it is a great way to kick off Small Business Season and be aware of where our dollars actually go.

Plaid Friday started as an enjoyable and more relaxed alternative to the hectic Black Friday and Cyber Monday online frenzies. It is also a time to celebrate the uniqueness of our small towns and explore the diverse and creative businesses that make up the fabric of our communities. So wear some plaid on Friday, enjoy some friendly, small town shops and services and let's support our local businesses! #itmatters
Local spending =
strong communities.

So many small businesses let us know last year that one Saturday just wasn't enough as we continue to work through very challenging times and many small retailers, artisans, restaurants, and service providers are feeling the strain. So we are going to build on last year's efforts of promoting Small Business Season as we work our way through one of the largest shopping times of the year.

We encourage everyone to be mindful of where they spend their money this year as it really does make a difference for our small businesses and our communities.

#bcbuylocal week runs November 29 to December 5 this year. You can find out more information and statistics about the power of investing and spending your money locally and supporting small businesses here
