Executive Director Update
The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly increased the vulnerability and risk factors of the populations we serve. As the only domestic abuse agency in the county our services are considered essential. Our emergency measures and need for extra funding has been necessary to support domestic violence survivors through this pandemic. There have been dramatic increases in violence and stress in our clients lives. COVID-19 has brought isolation and a reduction in social services to our county.

We still need to fund raise an additional $140k, in order to continue providing our 19 shelter residents transitional housing to accommodate physical distancing and sheltering in place through February 2021. Please consider helping us raise these emergency funds by clicking here.  We couldn’t do it without our generous donors and community partners!
Virtual Yard Sale
Join us for our virtual yard sale, August 11th thru August 13th. All money raised is benefiting our COVID emergency fund.

Community Outreach & Education
Molly Conway joined the Esperanza Shelter team in February 2019 as our Community Outreach and Education Coordinator. She has a Master’s Degree in Education, and has worked in educational and social service settings in public, private and non-profit sectors for 15 years. Molly’s greatest joys are helping others, being out in nature, yoga and her rescue dog Sweet Pea.
Through Hope Speaks -- Community Outreach and Education, we are committed to raising awareness on domestic abuse and providing our community with current educational information and resources.

In July, we launched educational training's through zoom and social distanced small in-person settings (limit four) where Molly has worked to bring awareness to businesses and individuals in our community. If you're interested in a presentation please contact Molly via phone at 505.660.2588, or by email at
