SOBP March 2019 Newsletter
Letter from the Editor
It is time again!

Let’s complete our plans to attend the annual SOBP meeting and get ready to learn the latest of the latest in biological psychiatry! This year, the meeting will be held in Chicago May 16-18, 2019. The theme is: "Innovations in Clinical Neuroscience: Tools, Techniques and Transformative Frameworks." Our President Mary Phillips and Program Chair Scott Langenecker have put together a strong plenary line-up of talks that I am looking forward to attend, and I hope you are as well. Meanwhile, you can check out last year talks that were recorded for the very first time by clicking here . Moreover, we have received a huge number of proposals for symposia, talks and posters that guarantees breadth and depth of discussion. SOBP brings together a unique group scientists to promote discussion and hopefully lead some of us toward research breakthroughs to help those people we clinically serve. I hope you will plan to be part of this exciting discussion. While you do that, keep in mind our meeting is an ideal place for networking, and push collaborative work further.

With these thoughts in mind, then, please proceed to the SOBP website, reserve rooms at the Hilton Chicago, pay your registration (and consider joining SOBP) and plan your trip. I very much look forward to seeing you in Chicago.

Best Wishes,

Innovations in Clinical Neuroscience: Tools, Techniques and Transformative Frameworks
The field of biological psychiatry is approaching a catalytic period for discovery. The purpose of the 2019 SOBP Annual meeting is to provide an interactive platform for learning and discovery. The meeting program will focus on innovative and transformative frameworks for understanding psychiatric illnesses, and present enhanced and newly emerging tools for measurement and intervention. Within these frameworks and with these tools, techniques and experimental designs are illustrated that can enhance understanding of psychiatric illness and elucidate the biological pathways and markers of illness processes.
