OneSOC-1 Type 2 Report available
IMRF's SOC-1, Type 2 Report is available in Employer Access for all employers to download.
 
In the report, independent auditors examined and verified the adequacy of IMRF's internal controls. The document is needed by some IMRF employers for financial reporting purposes.
 
To retrieve the SOC-1, Type 2 Report, log in to your Employer Access account. Select the "Display Annual Documents" option under the "Documents" category. At the "Annual Documents" menu, the SOC-1 Type 2 Report is listed in the "2018 Release" category; click the link to download the document.
TwoEmployer Rate Meeting registration open 
Registration is open for IMRF's 2018 Employer Rate Meetings. Held at various locations throughout the state, these meetings will review the impact of year-end financial and actuarial data on IMRF, and the data's estimated impact on individual employers.
 
IMRF encourages Authorized Agents, chief financial officers, governing body members, and all other officials and interested parties from your employer to attend the meeting scheduled in your area. Review the complete meeting schedule here.
 
Advance registration is requested for the Employer Rate Meetings. Authorized Agents and Web Assistants may log in to their Employer Access account to self-register.
ThreeFebruary 2018 Board Meeting Highlights 
At the February 2018 Board Meeting, the Board:
  • Confirmed employer accounts will be credited due to 2017 returns
  • Approved 2019 death and disability rates
  • Reviewed staff projections for the 2018 "13th Payment"
 
The next regular meeting of the IMRF Board of Trustees will be May 18 beginning at 9 AM at IMRF's Oak Brook headquarters.
FourUpdate to IMRF's Vehicle Allowance Quick Reference Card
To better inform and assist employers, IMRF has updated its "Vehicle Allowances as IMRF Earnings" Quick Reference Card.
 
The card, first introduced as a guide to comply with Public Act 100-411 in 2017, now reflects the changes implemented by IMRF Board Resolution 2018-02-10(b). This resolution clarifies exemption eligibility related to the prohibition against reporting vehicle allowances as IMRF earnings.
