You can also pick up our latest science newsletter at our partners' booths, IPAC and NASA. All times are Pacific Time.

SOFIA Prizes

Each year during the Winter AAS meeting, the SOFIA program awards prizes to remarkable published papers and PhD theses based on SOFIA data. This year, we are happy to recognize the outstanding work of the following researchers:

Data Showcase Talk: Stars and stellar environments in the SOFIA archive

Monday January 9th, 5:30-6:00 pm

E. Lopez-Rodriguez (Stanford/KIPAC) will present the latest results from SOFIA's legacy program SALSA - Survey for extragALactic magnetiSm with SOFIA.

SOFIA Happy Hour

Wednesday January 11th, 6:30-8:30 pm

The Pine Box, 1600 Melrose Avenue

Come share a drink with SOFIA staff to celebrate the end of the mission, in the fitting environment of the 'Pine Box' bar! We will gather in the Mezzanine area, 1600 Melrose Ave, a couple of blocks away from the Convention Center.
