In my department, we research into biomaterials, or to be more precise, materials which are used in implants. Other research areas are developments in the health care sector. In particular, these include Drug Delivery Systems and cosmetic products. In this context, we also carry out biocompatibility tests as well as microbiological investigations with human pathogens, since we have the necessary spatial and instrumental equipment as well as the regulatory approvals.
