Churches in cities and towns across the country have been invited to participate in a nationwide memorial to remember and honor all the lives that have been lost to COVID-19. The basic idea is both simple and meaningful: To illuminate your church with light and/or to ring your church bells on Tuesday, January 19th at 4:30 PM (CST).
If you would like to participate in this national moment of unity and remembrance it is open to all of our members, young and old, you don’t have to read music. Cathy Dismore and some of the members of our Bell Choir will have a bell for each adult and a chime for each child located outside on the patio leading into the church.
Please wear your mask and gloves as well. (Our bells are an expensive and treasured resource) If you arrive at 4:15 PM, you will receive your bell along with some basic instructions on the method of ringing that will allow us to spread out on the sidewalk along the front of our church on Lamar Blvd. that will be safe for you and bring glory to our Lord while honoring all those who have died. It’s an experience that I think all of us will long remember and we would be delighted to have you join us!
