This Mustang, which started life as a GT, was shipped to NASCAR star Richard Petty who modified the exterior, interior and mechanicals in his famous Petty’s Garage in Randleman, North Carolina. This specific unit is number 2 of only 43 King Premier coupes that Petty built in 2016. Moreover, this one owner car has been driven only 46 miles since new!
The exterior is dramatic. The vehicle is black with Petty Blue dual wide racing stripes across the hood, roof and deck lid. Blue accents abound - trim around the 20” custom wheels, sill plates, front spoiler, rear diffuser, the Mustang horse on the grille and more. Petty’s Garage emblems appear on the deck lid, window glass and various other places. Other custom touches include a center mounted Magnaflow exhaust and the rear diffuser.
The interior is equally dramatic, featuring a custom leather trimmed interior. The instrument panel states that this is number 2 of 43 King Premier Edition coupes and is flanked by Petty’s signature. The Petty’s Garage logo appears on the front seat headrests, floor mats and inside door sill. The six speed shift knob appropriately is finished in Petty Blue.
But it’s not just about appearance; this horse flies. This 5.0 Liter V8 King Premier is equipped with a level 2 supercharger kit as well as a modified cold air intake for better breathing, custom engine calibration and the sweet sounding low restriction Magnaflow exhaust, all resulting in a whopping 727 horsepower. It is connected to an easy shifting 6 speed manual transmission. Other mechanical modifications include a 6 piston front/ 4 piston rear brake upgrade kit, different wheel bushings and a coil over racing suspension.
Numerous accessories come with this vehicle including a car cover, two Richard Petty autographed T- shirts and a variety of other autographed memorabilia.
