GOOD MORNING BUFFALO

NEW COMMUNITY CENTER

NEXT Thursday, June 18th 8:00 a.m.

We are so excited to host our Good Morning Buffalo at the new Community Center. If you missed the grand opening last Tuesday, now's your chance! You will get a full tour of the beautiful space!

Just follow the construction cones to enter! You can park in the main lot or if full the lower lot to the north of the building. See all the pictures below of the great festivities at their Grand Opening last night!

KICK OFF IS THIS SUNDAY WITH THE FLY IN BREAKFAST/CAR SHOW AND COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA CONCERT

GOOD FUN, GOOD SUN ....all for a GOOD CAUSE!

We had such a beautiful day for our Chamber annual golf tournament! There wasn't a complaint to be had - the grounds were beautiful, the camaraderie awesome, the food tasty and the prizes won amazing!

Thank you to all who played and all who sponsored! Thank you to Wild Marsh for hosting and to Tap Inn by R Social for their hospitable service! Will let the pictures speak for themselves!

THE SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS ARE THANKFUL!

WE ALSO HAD A LOT OF FUN AT OUR GOOD AFTERNOON BUFFALO AT THE BULLDOGS GAME LAST WEEK!

I think we have the start of an annual event! It was a perfect night for some baseball and Corey Braun and Mark Benzer - managers present and past of the team - hosted us well! I even got to throw the fist pitch! Rusty Kath, announcer for the Twins/Saints/Tampa Bay Rays shared their dream/drawings of some new stands and press box etc... so go and support the team! It's only $5 to get in, seniors are $3 and students are free.

Like other things in our community, we take this club and the awesome field for granted. Did you know the team is made up of local homegrown talent? Did you know that 95% of the players have or are playing college ball? Did you know the league is primarily Hwy 12/Hwy 55 city teams? Did you know the players age from 17 to 40 years old? They all just love the game and love our town! This team and the park are a hidden gem of ours - something to get out and see!

NORTHERN PINE PRODUCTION

Eric Gislason

3500 Vicksburg Lane, Plymouth

www.northernpineproductions.com

Some of you Buffalo natives may recognize the name of Eric Gislason - a Buffalo native (class of 1978) who was a sports anchor/broadcaster at KSTP for many years. He is now a Brand Ambassador for the InSports Foundation. You will see and hear more about that in the coming months, as we work to bring a Town Takeover here in Buffalo for our youth. InSports is a non-profit program geared to get or keep kids in sports at the elementary through Jr. High levels. It speaks not only to sports, but mental health and nutrition as well. Again - stay tuned.

Eric himself, however, owns his own media and marketing company - a one stop shop - from cinematographers, editors, 2D/3D Animation & Motion Graphics, Drone videography, underwater cinematography, business marketers and more! They have worked with the Discovery Channel, Cargill, Polaris and the MN Wild but yet enjoys partnering with small businesses as well. All of the staff at Northern Pine Productions were raised and live here - they take great pride in that!

Northern Pine is more than just video production - they want to work with businesses as their creative partner to help them tell their story, share their mission, and strengthen their brand. It's about storytelling with efficient and professional production from start to finish. The team manages, hands on, any project from start to finish - no outsourcing here!

Looking forward to seeing and hearing more from Eric (Gis) as he joins us at some Good Morning Buffalos!

WRIGHT COUNTY AREA UNITED WAY (WCAUA)

Meet Sarah Patnode, the campaign rep for our local area United Way. We all have probably worked with or received benefits from a United Way program, so we are delighted to have them be Chamber members so we can see and hear more directly from them!

Did you know the United Way was established in 1966? They support communities in four ways: Food, shelter, health and education. Our local United Way serves Albertville, St. Michael, Monticello and Buffalo. They work to ensure that resources are used locally to create positive, long-lasting changed in the communities for years to come. They work to identify the underlying causes to problems so they can be eliminated before they begin - ultimate goal - to improve lives locally.

We will hear more about how we as business leaders in the area, can support their efforts in building stronger families, healthy kids, and stable communities. Many families in our area face food insecurity, housing instability, mental health issues and access to education support. Welcome Sarah and the Wright County Area United Way!

One way to support them immediately is to go to Culver's for dinner tonight between 5:00 and 8:00. A portion of the sales will go to our WCAUW!
