SORS Update: Super Stock Rules Update / Spring Crandon Registration

Rounds 3/4: Spring Crandon Race Registration

Super Stock Drivers,

Effective immediately: Due to constant problems with bell housings breaking, the Super Stock Truck class will be allowed to use a mid-plate between the motor and transmission to help support the motor/transmission and remove the stress at the bell housing.

The material that can be used for this plate is up to 1/8" thick steel or up to 1/4" thick aluminum. This plate adds no performance advantage and is a cost effective solution that should keep cost of repairs from broken bell housings and wrecked converters down.

It also adds safety to the class as this will help eliminate a broken transmission that can cause major fire.

About Bark River International Off-Road Raceway

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Bark River Lions Club hosting off-road racing in the Michigan's Upper Peninsula. From its meager beginnings, the facility has grown to become one of the premiere off-road racing venues in the country. The Bark River Lions Club was organized on January 12, 1943 with 24 charter members. These members, led by President Joseph Gucky and Secretary/Treasurer B.E. Douglas, put in place a set of standards and goals which members hold true to this day. Since then the club, thanks in part to the contributions of the off-road community, has established an unprecedented record of community, regional, and international contributions and service.
