April is quickly approaching and we are gearing up for SOS weekend. Your fellow artists/volunteers are hard at work organizing everything from the event map to trolleys to the fashion show. If you have some time to help we could use it!

Your site number is on your SOS profile page – please use it in all your social media posts and tag #Somervilleopenstudios.

You MUST be a registered SOS artist to participate in SOS shows. Sustaining (non-participating) SOS members may also participate.

First Look Exhibit at the Somerville Museum

April 24 – May 17 2025

This show is OPEN TO ALL 2025 SOS registered artists. We strongly recommend participating in this non-juried group show – many studio visitors plan their trip based on what they see here. Download the 2025 Drop Off form from the link below!

Sustenance

“Sustenance” is often considered to be a fancy word for food. It also extends beyond nutrition to encompass support and spiritual nourishment. In these difficult times in our country and our world, what sustains us? What keeps us going physically and spiritually?

Alternate Worlds

Narrative Bookshop 387 Highland Avenue

April 25 – May 17, 2025

Books can be portals to different realities. Stories can empower, heal, connect, transport, and persuade. They can portray brighter possibilities, bear warnings about the future, or tie us to our ancestors & root us in our heritage. This exhibit will showcase the transporting power of written & spoken narratives, translated into visual forms of alternate worlds created by Somerville artists.
