This high-quality professional development event will remain accessible to educators on the neighbor islands and beyond, and all recorded sessions will be available through January 2022.
The focus of this year's conference is "Learning NOT Lost." In addressing this theme, speakers are charged with ensuring that their presentations are reflective of innovative trends and ideas inspired by all that has been learned during the past year and a half. Teaching and learning is always evolving and, as always, the SOTF Conference aims to provide a forum for sharing best practices among Hawai'i-based, national and international educators.

Student Call For Proposals
|
|
Student sessions will be included in all three days of the Schools of the Future Conference and will be scheduled according to the date preference noted in the form, but may be scheduled during any of the session blocks between 12:15 - 3:15 PM each day.
Student sessions give students the opportunity to teach the teachers. Proposals should inspire best teaching practices and cultivate thinking about learning from the student's perspective. Proposals should be relevant and timely, given all that has transpired as a result of the learning conditions created by the Pandemic. The goal of SOTF, as always, is to deliver a conference that helps inform best practices in education going forward. To that end, the review committee will pay particular attention to whether proposals are reflective, in some way, of the teaching and learning environment we now find ourselves in.
All proposals can include up to 4 students and must include 1 teacher who will serve as an advisor and point person. Up to 5 individuals (4 students and 1 teacher) will be granted complimentary registration.
Submission Deadline: Friday, September 24, 2021 and notifications will be sent on a rolling basis by October 1.
