I pray this week's E-blast finds you well on this Good Friday as we remember what Jesus did for us on the cross. As Peter writes,

"Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit."

1 Peter 3:18

Our preparation for the Glorious Easter continues tonight with the Good Friday Tenebrae Service: "The Nails of the Cross." We will be joined by our friends from Sage Granada UMC. Each one of us will bring our nails to the cross, and I pray, in doing so, find forgiveness, redemption and hope. And then on Easter Sunday, we will gather for the early sunrise service at 7:30 AM, most likely in the Fellowship Hall due to rain. After service, we will enjoy Easter Breakfast over pancakes and sausage, and hot coffee prepared by Bob Gin and SOTH Men. We will then gather in our beautiful sanctuary decorated with lilies and flowers to worship the Risen Christ. And of course, what is Easter without Easter Egg Hunt! We will gather in the fellowship hall once again for Easter Luncheon and help the little ones with Easter Egg Hunt.

In 7:30 AM Service, I will be using Matthew's account of Resurrection for the message.(Matthew 28:1-15a) And in 10 AM Service, John's Account of Resurrection(John 20:1-18) The Easter Stories in the Gospels, though each told in a uniquely different way, are a gift to all of us, all pointing to the Resurrection of Jesus!

Looking forward to being with all of you this weekend, to remember and worship, and celebrate Easter.

Happy Easter: He Is Risen!

See you at church,

Pastor John
