GRACE AND PEACE FOR THE ROAD AHEAD:
ADVANCED DIRECTIVES AND END-OF-LIFE PLANNING
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24 ~ MEETING HOUSE ~ 10:00 AM
Presenter, Lory Nurenberg, LCSW
| | |
Perhaps you have questions or concerns regarding an aging loved one or about your own ability to maintain quality of life and self-determination at the end-of-life. Perhaps you’ve avoided this entire subject matter entirely as something you’d rather not think about until you’re “older”. Although this topic may seem confronting, appropriate planning is ultimately liberating. Please join us as we navigate the crucial aspects of ensuring autonomy in decision-making as it pertains to end-of-life concerns.
Lory Nurenberg has enjoyed a multifaceted career in social work from psychotherapist in private practice to Executive Director of a family services agency. She spent a decade working in hospice care and, most recently, she served on the faculty at Sacred Heart University School of Social Work. She co-authored a chapter, along with her late husband Rev. Frank A. Hall, in the anthology, In Death, the Gift of Life. Lory lives in Westport with her mini-labradoodle, Parker.

Save the date! Whether you're new to these topics or a longtime ally, come learn, ask questions, and connect with each other. We will also be collecting items for unhoused queer youth. They need personal care products (shampoo, conditioner, liquid bath soap, individually wrapped toothbrushes) and high protein snacks (protein bars, tuna pouches, beef or turkey jerky).
