AUTUMN EQUINOX LABYRINTH WALK: 2:00-4:00 PM | |
Come mark the Autumn Equinox with a unique multimedia labyrinth walk with sacred music from Hildegard and others; a mandala coloring meditation; and sync up with ongoing lunar cycles to re-focus your intention to manifest your unique potential ~ as revealed in your birth chart ~ with ongoing New Moon Manifestation Circles at Yoga Shala in Fairfield.
Labyrinths have been used for millennia for inner peace, contemplation, walking meditation, spiritual healing, and prayer. The circular paths are a spiritual technology designed to facilitate insight, transformation, and awakening. Yom Kippur is known as the Day of Atonement and the completion of the Jewish High Holy Days. As Yom Kippur begins the evening of September 24, Rev Alan Taylor will reflect on how this Jewish holiday calls human beings to forgive ourselves, to forgive others, and to begin again in love.

The K-3rd graders will mark the approaching conclusion of Rash Hashanah and Yom Kippur exploring the work of apology and forgiveness.
The 4-7th grade class will analyze the Pixar Short “Lou” and create kindness rocks for loved ones or to leave for strangers.
The High School Youth Group meets Sundays at 11:15 AM in the Meeting House. This Sunday, the youth will reflect on the non-apology: “I’m sorry that you were offended.”

Our First Neighboring Faiths Program kicks off with a bang this fall. We will have Rabbi Michael Freidman of Temple Israel to talk to us about Judaism. Rev Alan will talk about the Jewish High holy days (Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur) in the services at TUUCW on September 17 and September 24. To follow on that we have scheduled:

"BAGELS AND BOARD" ~ SUNDAY, OCTOBER 1 - 9:00-9:45 AM | |
This year, the Board of Trustees will be offering in person meetings for folks to chat and discuss issues that might be on their minds in small gatherings with a few Board members. These will be held on select Sunday mornings before the service begins, from 9-9:45 AM.
Our first one will be Sunday, Oct 1. Please join Board members in the library to talk and share what's on your minds. Bagels will be provided! Questions? Contact Wendy Levy or Jen Gerometta.

With the official start of Fall, now would be a great time to join a choir! Do you love singing? Did you sing in high school or college chorus, and do you remember how much fun it was? Well, it is still fun. We have several choirs you can consider.
The Choir meets Thursdays 7:30-9:00 PM.
The Once and Again Folk Choir meets Mondays 6:30-8:00 PM.
Maybe singing is not your thing. The Bell Choir meets Mondays 5:00–6:00 PM.
The Children’s Choir (ages 8–13), meets Thursdays 5:00–6:00 PM and the Teen Choir meets Thursdays 6:00-7:00 PM. The Children and Teen Choirs are a vital part of our community.
