AN EVENING IN BLACK WHITE AND GOLD
FRIDAY, MARCH 4 - 6:00-9:00 PM
Let's have fun this Friday! Join us for drinks, food, and - most importantly - convivial community: WE'RE BACK! And we're ready to kick-off an abundant pledge drive, too!

How did we get the name for this event, you ask? Well, we'll be providing entertainment on BLACK and WHITE piano keys; with some brass thrown in -- hence the GOLD. (Plus, how can we talk about stewardship without mentioning “gold”?!)

And then, of course, we'll all be dressed in black, white and gold...

Please bring a main or side dish, salad or dessert for potluck. This is designed to be an *amazing* in-person gathering, but we will broadcast the entertainment, starting c. 7:30ish on ZOOM. Questions? Contact us HERE.
PSSST.... rumor has it there might even be a raffle with some great prizes! Bring some cash or have your VENMO account handy ... you just might go home more of a winner than you already are!
LEARN ABOUT THE PROPOSED NEW ORGAN
Click HERE for a set of questions and answers about the proposal to acquire a new organ.

This is an important decision for our congregation and the decision will be made at a Special Meeting of the Members. There will be two Town Halls to learn about the proposal leading to the meeting where we will vote. All meetings will be in-person after the Sunday service and will be broadcast on ZOOM.

It’s as if Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, and Bob Dylan will all be at Voices Café on Saturday March 12. Suzanne Sheridan and her amazing band are making this possible in their exciting return performance at Voices Café!

NEW! LENT & PASSOVER: TRADITIONAL READINGS
SUNDAYS MARCH 6, 13, 20, 27 11:15 AM
Lent & Passover: Traditional Readings as Metaphor for the Path to Freedom. The Bible and Torah offer stories traditionally read in these times, as we prepare for Easter and Passover (and Spring!). We will begin with a candle lighting and check-in, creating a safe and clear space to discern more deeply. Are we in a ‘wilderness’ today? How do we get to a Promised Land? What must die so that we may live more deeply? We will approach all readings as universal metaphors that guide each of us, and humanity, towards greater well-being and a fuller connection to this life. Contact Tom Hearne for more information.
PODCAST DISCUSSION MONDAY MAR. 7, 7:00-8:00 PM - ZOOM
Our March “On Being” podcast discussion will focus on the dialogue between Michael Pollen and Katherine May “Michael Pollan is one of our most revelatory explorers of the interaction between the human and natural worlds — especially the plants with which we have, as he says, co-evolved — from food to caffeine to psychedelics. In this episode of our series, The Future of HopeWintering’s Katherine May draws him out on the burgeoning human inquiry and science to which he’s now given himself over — the transformative applications of altered states for healing trauma and depression, for end-of-life care — and the thrilling matter of grasping what consciousness is for. This is an informative, intriguing, utterly uncategorizable conversation.” Listen to the podcast and then join us on ZOOM. Questions? Contact Linda Lubin.
