Today is Juneteenth, and we are in the middle of June, which is Pride Month. Let's find ways in our own hearts and actions to
honor these public markers of important values and principles in our UU and TUCW communities.

AND let's not forget - it's Father's Day today, too! And our Music Service today is in part to celebrate the Summer Solstice, which arrives this Tuesday June 21 - the longest day of the year. Here's to June!
REMINDER: Starting this Friday June 24 we will be publishing one SOUNDINGS that covers both weekday and weekend, every other Friday, until September. So the combined issues will be June 24; July 8; July 20, August 5, and August 19. We will resume full schedule starting with the September 2 weekEND issue.
Submissions are due the Wednesday before the publishing Friday, at 5:30 PM. Please prepare accordingly! Thank you, and enjoy the summer!
WE WANT YOUR NAME SUBMISSIONS! DUE BY SEPTEMBER 18
The Naming Committee is asking for your participation in our search for a name for our spiritual home. Our Board charged this committee with creating a process for changing our name; we will share our complete timeline shortly. In the meantime, members and non-members are invited to submit their name ideas between now and Sept 18either in the foyer under our naming poster or emailing our committee.

We are enjoying reading all the name submissions - keep them coming! Grab a cup of coffee and start brainstorming! Thank you. Luisa Francoeur, Randy Burnham, Rob Herman, Sudha Sankar, Rob Zuckerman, Carolyn Gundell [email protected]

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN UPDATE
Anniversaries are always special, and on June 30, we will celebrate the 'official' end of our three-year Capital Campaign to repair, restore, and improve our beautiful iconic building and its surrounding grounds. A well-deserved festivity is in the planning stages!

It's hard to believe how far we have come. In 2015 the Building Committee under John Turmelle’s expertise evaluated the entire building for needed upgrades, ranking them from critical to important. That report was the basis for our Visioning and Strategic Planning which we did in 2018. In 2018-2019 Liz Coit, a fundraising consultant with the UUA, helped us raise over $2 million for our Capital Campaign....Click HERE for more.

Tag Sale family and friends 2021
A Blast from the Past!

Here's some of our sale helpers from 10 years ago, having a goofy moment during set-up. Because it’s not all about the merchandise; it’s about old pals and new ones coming together, forming new friendships and working together toward a common goal: raising money and serving families with bargains in household goods.
