OUR PLEDGE DRIVE CONTINUES: PLEASE PLEDGE HERE
Children Are Our Future! We recently welcomed Dr. Heather Hamilton into our circle, and her energy has been felt since through her wonderful plans for our children. We are also so excited for our young adults as they get ready for their trip to Alaska!
Our children are the lifeblood of the future of TUCW, and we must nurture them in the UU way so that they too can grow up to become leaders in our congregation and throughout their lives. Programs such as OWL, Crossing Paths, our children's and youth programming - and our Sunday services - help. The people, utilities, and programs that make all this possible require support from our pledges. Exceeding our goal for the Annual Operating Budget Campaign will support more programs and create more energy to help our children to rise up. But coming in short of our goal will mean difficult choices that reduce our impact. The current global situation is a clear sign that being under-budget cannot be an option.
To pledge, fill out a paper form after our service, or simply click HERE. And don't be surprised if a friendly congregant calls to meet and talk with you about pledging: they can help answer questions and share more about this beloved community and how we think about our financials.

ASK YOUR STATE LEGISLATORS TO CO-SPONSOR HB-5397
WHAT'S THAT? READ ON... We have an unprecedented opportunity to get Connecticut to do what's urgently needed to reduce gun homicide in our urban centers: create and fund an Office of Gun Violence Prevention. By co-sponsoring HB-5397, An Act Declaring Gun Violence a Public Health Crisis and Establishing The Office of Gun Violence Prevention your lawmakers can show their commitment to preventing community gun violence by mandating that the Department of Public Health respond to the crisis, and by calling for $5 million of annual funding to support community-based organizations working to end street-level gun violence. Please CLICK HERE to ask your legislator to co-sponsor HB-5397.
Thanks so much for using your voice to save lives.
