It's the people who make our community as special as it is!
Remember when we had so much fun at our Black White & Gold party 4 weeks ago? Well, here's one of the videos we shared at the time: it's the PEOPLE that make up our wonderful congregation! (Click on picture to start the video.)

OUR PLEDGE DRIVE CONTINUES: PLEASE PLEDGE HERE
March is a month of many things, and for us that includes pledging. If you haven't already done so, please do let us know that we can count on your support next year. We need you!!
To pledge, fill out a paper form after our service, or simply click HERE. And don't be surprised if a friendly congregant calls to meet and talk with you about pledging: they can help answer questions and share more about this beloved community and how we think about our financials.

John O’Donohue: “The Inner Landscape of Beauty”
This interview is a favorite of Rev. John’s. It promises to be a rich and deep dialogue for us. Please join us.
Krista Tippett writes “No conversation we’ve ever done has been more beloved than this one. The Irish poet, theologian, and philosopher insisted on beauty as a human calling. He had a very Celtic, lifelong fascination with the inner landscape of our lives and with what he called “the invisible world” that is constantly intertwining what we can know and see. This was one of the last interviews he gave before his unexpected death in 2008. But John O’Donohue’s voice and writings continue to bring ancient mystical wisdom to modern confusions and longings.”
Listen to the podcast then join us on zoom for the discussion: ZOOM HERE. Questions? Contact Linda Lubin.

DRESSERS NEEDED FOR REFUGEES FROM AFGHANISTAN
many dressers!
Do you have a dresser in good condition that you no longer need?
The Immigration and Refugee Outreach Committee of The Unitarian Church in Westport helps the Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants (CIRI) resettle immigrants and refugees in our area. There is a new push now to set up apartments for multiple large families of refugees from Afghanistan and one critical need is for dressers – especially smaller ones that could be carried upstairs. If you have a dresser that you would like to donate, please contact Dorothy Rich.
We also need drivers and helpers to pick up donated furniture – please contact Stephen Polmar for further information. Thank you!

ASK YOUR STATE LEGISLATORS TO CO-SPONSOR HB-5397
WHAT'S THAT? READ ON... We have an unprecedented opportunity to get Connecticut to do what's urgently needed to reduce gun homicide in our urban centers: create and fund an Office of Gun Violence Prevention. By co-sponsoring HB-5397, An Act Declaring Gun Violence a Public Health Crisis and Establishing The Office of Gun Violence Prevention your lawmakers can show their commitment to preventing community gun violence by mandating that the Department of Public Health respond to the crisis, and by calling for $5 million of annual funding to support community-based organizations working to end street-level gun violence. Please CLICK HERE to ask your legislator to co-sponsor HB-5397.
Thanks so much for using your voice to save lives.
