Thank you, in advance for your consideration - and see you there!

JUST PASSED: CONNECTICUT ABORTION LAW
Our Connecticut General Assembly was a step ahead of the Supreme Court and the rest of the nation. It passed a bill that protects medical providers and patients seeking abortion care here who come from states banning abortions. The bill was passed almost entirely along party lines. Governor Lamont will sign the bill. Please click HERE to read more about this bill.
And stay tuned for more info as we all grapple with the recent news about Roe v. Wade ... Any volunteers who want to work on this issue at the church, please contact Beth Cliff or David Vita.

IMMIGRATION & REFUGEE OUTREACH: COME HELP US!
When we read distressing news of refugees fleeing war-torn countries, we wish we could do something to help. Well, we can. Since 2014, TUCW’s Immigration & Refugee Outreach has been supporting refugees in Connecticut from such countries as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, and now Afghanistan. Our committee always needs more volunteers to help refugees cope in their new, unfamiliar world. To learn how you can help, contact Kathy Roberts.
An important component of I&R Outreach is our team of dedicated volunteers who take an empty apartment and turn it into a warm home for refugees. For info on apartment set-ups, contact Stephen Polmar.
