"100 for 100!" WRITE A CARD FOR MARION!
|
|
Long-time and very generous member, Marion Wertheim, turned 100 last week. WONDERFUL!
Let's deliver her a huge sack of cards - we'd like to get at least 100! - from all parts of the congregation - young, old, newcomers, long timers, folks she knows, and even folks whom she only knows as UU congregants here in Westport, a beloved community she helped build with her husband Joe, since 1957.
Please, write a card for Marion, and address it to her, c/o The Unitarian Church in Westport, 10 Lyons Plains Road, Westport, CT 06880. We'll collect them all, and a group of well-wishers will deliver them all to her. Questions? Contact Rev. John or Ruth Fontilla, our admin at 203.227.7205 x 10.

Good news: In 2022, TUCW sent postcards/letters totalling 10,000! To reach our TUCW goal to be a “Good Trouble” congregation, please join us in meeting criteria for calls and texts - look for training at TUCW after services. We ask each member to call 4 friends in CT and inform them about the Ballot referendum to Vote Early in CT. Or 4 friends in swing states to ask if they’re voting.
Vot-ER.org reaches young, poor BIPOC people often found in Emergency Rooms. Talk to health care providers who urge patients to vote. A simple phone bank (with training) especially for TUCW will be set up by Vot-ER and League of Women Voters - IF we have 20 VOLUNTEERS. Email: UUtheVote-team
