COM-Sponsored Break-out Groups After Service This Sunday
|
|
The Committee on Ministry (COM) invites you to join us after the service this Sunday for an exploration of the question
“What ways have you found to connect spiritually with yourself, others, and the world during this time of physical distance?”
If you’d like to participate, simply stay on ZOOM and you will be placed in a small group.
With these 20/25-minute break-outs we will practice deep listening. We will be creating “circles of trust,” where “we speak our own truth and we listen receptively to the truth of others
.”-
Parker Palmer
COM will be offering these dialogues once a month. On other Sundays there will be other opportunities to participate together. Please join us.

Food… Food… Food… it’s all about FOOD!
The people hit hardest, especially in times like these, are the people with the least. And the people who congregate for food at the John Street Bridge in Bridgeport are these people.
|
|
Starting
Sunday, April 19, we will be reaching out to provide food for the homeless and food insecure through the John Street Bridge Outreach Project in Bridgeport. This is sanctioned by the City of Bridgeport and coordinated by our friend April Barron’s Helping Hands Outreach.
The COVID-19 crisis has forced many providers to temporarily stop their service under the John’s Street Bridge.
We CAN help!
