DISCUSSION: HELPING THOSE IN NEED 10:00-11:30 AM
Domestic violence is in every community, yet it can be difficult to help someone experiencing it if you don't know how to broach the subject. Join us in learning how to recognize warning signs and what to do if you or someone you know or work with experiences domestic or intimate partner violence.
We will learn about its dynamics, and process real-life scenarios to recognize warning signs and to determine how best to help. Led by a facilitator from Domestic Violence Crisis Center, we will discuss different cultural and religious norms that impact victims of domestic violence and the unique barriers to receiving support.
This will be an active, engaging session with break-out groups and polls. Questions? Contact Wendy Levy, head of our Safer Congregations team. ZOOM HERE Meeting ID: 875 7140 7113. Passcode: 739121

RACIAL INJUSTICE: FROM SLAVERY TO MASS INCARCERATION
Directly after the worship service – 10:40 AM
Please stay on after today's worship service for a profound discussion of racial injustice in today's America. What are the obscured truths of how Black people have been controlled through history? How are they relevant today?
Our multimedia program will feature a guest speaker from the Equal Justice Initiative, as well as sharing artistic performances and works, including Joan 'Lyric" Leslie, a slam poetry champion, and our own TUCW member Andy Gundell. An open mike for free-flowing discussion will follow the prepared program.
ZOOM link is the same as the worship service (see above). Please invite friends! They can log on at 10:40 if they prefer. Press release describing this exciting program in more detail is HERE.

CONGRATULATIONS TO GIAN MORRESI:
OUR LEADING LIGHT AWARD RECIPIENT FOR FEBRUARY
The Leadership Development Team is excited to announce that Gian Morresi is February’s Leading Light award recipient! Gian’s service to our community is far reaching. Just a few of the many examples include his invaluable service on the TUCW re-opening committee, as co-chair of the TUCW Saturday Hikers, and as chair of the Music Committee. Gian has been an integral member of a Small Group Ministry, has volunteered time as a Visiting Steward and enriches our services with his participation in our choirs and other musical events, including, of course, Cabaret! For all of his involvement in and commitment to TUCW, Gian truly is a Leading Light. Please join us in congratulating him!
