THE STORY Of 13...THOUSAND!
Last Saturday Sue had made 10 lunches and she was our delivery person. When she came by to pick up the lunches and asked what our number was we told her 12,990. Well, Sue just couldn't deal with that. She said that number would bother her all next week. She bought what she needed to make 10 more lunches and we hit 13,000 exactly! Sue is our accountant so we're guessing numbers really matter to her.
If you would like to help get to 14,000 please email David Vita or call 203.227.7205 x14.

MAKING EASTER BASKETS FOR CHILDREN 11:00 AM
All children and youth are invited to prepare Easter baskets for the John Street Bridge children. Meet at the church at 11 AM. We decorated 48 eggs last Saturday. We can decorate a few more, but the focus is preparing the baskets this Saturday. We will set up table stations outside; masks are required.
This is an opportunity to hang out with friends face-to-face. It is also a volunteer project for youth seeking community service hours. Check out the pics of the eggs and the food we prepared (and ate!) with the leftover egg whites and yokes from last week - in the video shared here.
PLUS we have a special opportunity to deliver our prepared Easter baskets to children next Sunday. Interested families should contact Nate.

So, what’s one of the ways our faith guides us into becoming a people of Commitment? It tells us, “Commit to compassion.” Showing compassion helps to free others from suffering. Compassion is putting love into action (and not the ‘huggy-kissy’ kind).

ZOOM DISCUSSION DIRECTLY AFTER THE SERVICE
TO LEARN ABOUT CLEAN SLATE LEGISLATION
A criminal record should not be a lifetime sentence. Stay on ZOOM after the service to learn about Clean Slate and what you can do to help pass this legislation. Program includes video, firsthand testimony, and Q and A.
The CLEAN SLATE legislation before the CT General Assembly provides for the automatic erasure of criminal records for certain convictions after a set period of time, for individuals who remain free of the criminal justice system upon release from custody. There is currently a process to apply for erasure in CT, but the application process is burdensome, costly, bureaucratic, and subjective. This process needs to change. Clean Slate is the solution and now is the time to change it. Read about Clean Slate HERE. Questions? Contact David Vita.

Due to copyright issues, the concert/service from last Sunday is not available for replay. Thank you for your understanding. Hats off to our Minister of Music, Rev. Ed Thompson, and to all our musicians for putting on such a special program.
And thank you to our tech team for making it all available to us.
It was just what we needed!
