CONGRATULATIONS TO JOYCE & DAVID THOMPSON:
OUR LEADING LIGHT AWARD RECIPIENTS FOR NOVEMBER
Please join the Leadership Development Team in congratulating Joyce and David Thompson, November’s Leading Light award recipients. Joyce and David’s service as leaders of the Memorial Garden Committee over many years has been invaluable to the Congregation. Their dedication to caring for, improving and beautifying our beloved Memorial Garden has been a tremendous comfort to our community. They have taken the time prior to leaving the Committee to ensure the Committee’s continued good work by securing new chairs, passing on their unique knowledge and making sure that records are complete and accessible.

As longtime members of our community, the Thompsons have quietly given many gifts of their time, talent and treasure to support the life and future of our congregation. We are very grateful for their generosity. For their long-term commitment to TUCW, Joyce and David’s Leading Lights will continue to burn brightly in our community.
SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE: RESIDENTIAL SEGREGATION & OUR 8th PRINCIPLE
directly after the service: in person & ZOOM
Residential Segregation map
Please join us after the service to watch “Segregated by Design,” a short video on the history of residential segregation. Afterwards, we will break into smaller groups, both in person and on Zoom, to reflect on how residential segregation, spirituality and our 8th principle are related. The discussions will conclude in time to attend the Board’s town hall meeting.
TOWN HALL AFTER THE SERVICE TODAY
 TO DISCUSS NAME CHANGE
People in the sanctuary for Sunday Services
The Board of Trustees invites all to join in a Town Hall meeting after our worship service and the Residential Segregation discussion. The meeting will start in the sanctuary close to 12 noon.

The purpose of the Town Hall will be to agree on one name to vote on at our planned Congregational Meeting on December 5. The Board has recommended “The Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Westport.”

A light lunch will be provided directly after the segregation session, and the meeting will start shortly afterwards in the sanctuary. Seating will be available outside; the ZOOM broadcast will run for those who wish to follow along at home. Should someone be unable to attend in person, we encourage they have a proxy represent their points of view.
MEDITATION: ZOOM and in person in the Oak Room - Sundays at 9:00 AM. For info contact Janet Luongo. Zoom Meeting - click HERE ID: 604 513 6137 Password: 068510
Flowers: Should you wish to donate flowers for a Sunday service, please reach out to Diane Donahue or fill in a spot in the Reservation Book which is out in the foyer.
Pay it forward: please consider being a greeter on Sundays; help our new folks navigate our community. Sign up for virtual or in person greeting, HERE. Thank you, in advance!
