We look forward to being together - in person - soon enough. And in the meantime, may we all stay connected as best, and as safely, as we can.

“Imagining a Life Ever After”
– Rev. John Morehouse
A life well-lived is our truest immortality. As we enter a new year let us come and celebrate life as worth living. Imagining a life ever after begins with giving thanks for the life we have.

CONGRATULATIONS TO SHARI BRENNAN:
OUR LEADING LIGHT AWARD RECIPIENT FOR JANUARY
|
|
Please join the Leadership Development Team in congratulating Shari Brennan, recipient of the January Leading Light Award. Shari’s contributions are too numerous to name. Among the many gifts of her time and talent are her years of service as a Pastoral Care Chaplain, on the TUCW Nominating Committee and as a Usher at services. Shari has devoted endless hours to coordinating Neighborhood Circles, a program which has greatly strengthened our connections as a community. Shari also devotes her time to Immigration and Refugee Outreach, TUCWomen, UU Movie Discussion Group and Small Group Ministry. For all of her involvement in and commitment to TUCW, Shari truly is a Leading Light.

We use a curriculum called Soul Matters, which has activities and stories designed around a monthly theme. January’s theme is Imagination. This Sunday’s lesson is: You are born with goodness and lots of possibilities. You can be anything!

Harry Potter and Unitarian Universalism is our guide. Our class is a regimen of Dumbledore’s army, and we fight Horcruxes, the many battles of social injustice. This Sunday’s lesson at Hogwarts is called “Double Potions.” We will look at examples of potions where ingredients mix and where they don’t mix, a sad metaphor for how certain groups of people are conditioned to avoid each other. We will work hard to ignore our stereotypical impulses and allow objects to infiltrate our magical barriers.
