Do you love greater Cape Ann? Then Support Our 35th Annual Love Greater Cape Ann Fundraising Auction

Each year, the Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce hosts its largest fundraiser – this year the 35th Annual Love Greater Cape Ann Fundraising Auction. This critical event supports all that we do in our mission of promoting of members, providing leadership and advocacy to grow the regional economy, celebrating our culture, and enhancing the quality of life for the greater Cape Ann region. This year's auction is scheduled for September 29 at Cruiseport Gloucester, and we would love to have you join us and / or sponsor the event.

Sponsoring Offers Fantastic Promotional Value and Supports our Mission

As the most historic and still largest Auction in the region, this fundraiser will reach and engage a wide array of businesses and households. As such it provides a unique opportunity for your organization to have fantastic exposure with community leaders, public officials, local businesses, area residents, and visitors who travel to Cape Ann.

When you choose to sponsor, you are actively helping the Greater Cape Ann communities by defraying the costs associated with delivering this stellar auction event, so that proceeds can go towards grant programs, scholarships, and business promotion.

Leave your mark at the special exhibition “Americans Flags”

Created by artist, designer, and professor in the practice of design at Olin College of Engineering, Tim Ferguson Sauder, “Americans Flags” explores our American identity through the creation of flags built using marks collected from the different people and places that make up our country.

The CAM Teens Council worked with Tim Ferguson Sauder to design the interactive project “What Does America Look Like?” The negative space of the plywood cutout forms the American Flag. Visitors are encouraged to use paint markers to add to the positive spaces on the flag in response to the questions “What does America look like?” and “What does your life in America look like?”

Thank you to Topside Grill for feeding Gloucester for so many years and offering amazing customer service. The Chamber sends the Silva family warm wishes as they begin their next chapter.

News from the Topside Grill Family

"The Silva family opened Schooner’s of Gloucester Restaurant in the Summer of 1988. It transitioned to Topside Grill & Pub in 2007. We are a small family, second generation, run establishment that has been operating at our Rogers Street location for 35 years."

"We are saddened to say that this week will be our last. As many others have experienced within the industry, it has been a challenging uphill between the impacts of COVID, increasing product costs and labor shortages."

"Throughout the years we have had some of the most wonderful customers that we will always remember.

THANK YOU, you truly made all the hard work worth it!"

"We would also like to give gratitude to our remarkable staff. We acknowledge your commitment, camaraderie and positivity which has kept us focused and moving forward throughout the years.

We are truly looking ahead to our next family chapter. "

Cape Ann Animal Aid

Pet of the Week

It’s me, Santiago! I am one of a litter of 11 puppies rescued from the Houston area. I and my siblings weigh about 20 to 30 pounds at 3 months so we will be large to extra large when we are full grown. No one knows for sure what our breed is but the guess is some kind of shepherd and Labrador mix. Please fill out an online application today at capeannanimalaid.org/adopt and we can set up a time so you can meet us at the shelter. We are super cute so we will probably get adopted quickly, so if you are interested you better act quickly. Visit www.capeannanimalaid.org for more information about me and all the other animals waiting for homes here at the Christopher Cutler Rich Animal Shelter, 4 Paws Lane in Gloucester.
