Works Perks is a part of the Cape Ann Works program and a great way for us to reward our awesome young people. The idea of Works Perks is to offer special discounts to student workers (ages 14-22). The Rockport Visitor Center is the new home for town-owned Motif No. 1 granite bird bath, created by Mindy Trafton. Thanks to Town-Owned Art Committee Chair Monica Lawton and Rockport DPW's Don Greel for your help with getting this beautiful sculpture to the Rockport Visitor Center. The Rockport Visitor Center is now open daily with Cate Cahill as Manager assisted by a great team of volunteers. Stop by and say hello.

The Gloucester Merchant Association is seeking participants for Gloucester Sidewalk Bazaar. 

The 63rd Annual Gloucester Sidewalk Bazaar is scheduled for August 4 to August 6. Nonprofits, local artisans, food vendors and off Main Street vendors are invited to participate. Gloucester Biotechnology Academy has announced a new financial structure to support young adults’ investment in their futures. Through the generous support of donors, tuition and fees will be waived in their entirety for the Academy’s incoming class of 2023. Read Full Press Release

SeniorCare Inc. will host its 50th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, September 22, 2022. Congratulations to Lisa Bonneville and Felicia Webb who will be presented awards at the Anniversary Celebration. Click here to learn more.
Lisa Bonneville will receive the Board of Directors Community Service Award as the founder of the Longevity Bench Project, a non-profit that places benches along popular walking routes in Manchester-by-the-Sea, enabling elders and people of all ages to take a walk with places to rest.
Felicia Webb will receive the Board of Directors Community Impact Award as the innovative leader of Cape Ann Transportation Authority (CATA) throughout the pandemic. Felicia introduced new initiatives to better serve the transportation needs of residents throughout the CATA service area.

After Twenty years in the making, Loren Doucette Studio has expanded and become Seven Suns Gallery on Bearskin Neck in Rockport, MA. We are looking to raise funds through this matching campaign with Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation (MGCC) to help with this expansion and to support us in our first year to make it the most successful possible!

DCR's Halibut Point State Park has announced that renovations to the parking area, the ADA compliant entrance path, and the ADA compliant Visitor Center are complete. All new museum quality exhibits feature WWII Military use, Quarrying Industry history, and nature on the edge. Grand Reopening Celebration: Summer Evening by the Sea is scheduled for August 4, from 5 – 7 PM.
