Cape Ann Community Foundation Presents Grant to Rockport Exchange
On Saturday, August 22
Ruth Pino, President of the Cape Ann Community Foundation Board of Directors, presented a check for $2,500 to the Rockport Exchange Board of Directors, on Saturday, August 22 at the Rockport Farmers Market. The grant is one of six awarded this year by the Foundation, and will support Rockport Exchange’s programs to expand the availability of locally-grown food on Cape Ann. Rockport Exchange board president Darren Mason was joined by fellow board members Sharon Kishida, Elizibeth Knudson, Robyn Pregent and Sarah Kelly. At the event, Mr. Mason announced that Rockport Exchange will be extending the weekly Farmers Market, held every Saturday from 10am to 1pm in downtown Rockport, through the end of September. Cape Ann Community Foundation grants are funded and made possible through sales and renewals of the Cape Ann license plate.

Dashboard for August 24: The most recent daily Dashboard of Public Health Indicators continues to report encouraging trends. The positive test rate (7-day weighted average) has remained below 2% since early July and is now down to 1.1%, its lowest observed value since data collection began. The 3-day weighted average number of hospitalized patients has dropped to 313, its lowest observed value to date, with 308 reported hospitalized as of August 23.
