FDA Approves First COVID-19 Vaccine
Late on Friday, December 10 the FDC gave its official emergency use authorization for Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine, and vaccine shipments began over the weekend. Massachusetts is receiving 59,475 first doses of the Pfizer vaccine this week and a total of 300,000 first doses of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines by the end of December. (The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines both require two doses administered three to four weeks apart.)

State Launches Vaccine Distribution Program
