Cape Ann Wellness Programming Project Announced

The Chamber's Health & Wellness Committee has launched a new project which will focus on monthly wellness events and special programming happening on Cape Ann. The committee will also be promoting national wellness observances every month. Starting with May, the featured observances include Older Americans Month, Mental Health Awareness Month, and Better Hearing Month. We encourage our community to click the link below to learn more.
Cape Ann Community Foundation Grant Deadline June 1

The June 1 deadline for local non-profit organizations and schools to apply for grants from the Cape Ann Community Foundation is now just three weeks away. Grant guidelines and application forms are now available online at lovecapeann.com. Cape Ann Artisans Leap Forward in 2021

The Cape Ann Artisans will once again be opening their studios to the public for the 38th Annual Spring Tour Saturday and Sunday, June 5-6. The tour is self-guided and includes 14 unique studios and 15 Artisans covering a wide range of media including ceramic arts, painting, jewelry, mixed media, quilting, mosaics, weaving, and more!   To get a taste of the tour, art lovers are encouraged to watch the newly produced video that features one-minute cameos with each of the artisans.  It can be found on the website, Facebook page, and YouTube.

BIG NEWS! Windhover's Outdoor Space is Where the Performing Arts Will Thrive This Summer. Live Performance is Back!

Windhover Center for the Performing Arts has purchased a large, brand new, expansive outdoor stage that will hold music, theater, and a large selection of live dance productions all summer long. Further, the Gloucester Stage Company is partnering with Windhover and is launching their summer season of four plays at Windhover from June through September. Windhover will also feature local dance companies including the Rockport Dance Academy, the North Reading School of Ballet and BoSoma Dance Company.

Vaccinated in Massachusetts

According to the May 10 Daily COVID-19 Vaccine Report from the Department of Public Health 2,962,937 people have been fully vaccinated in Massachusetts. All residents age 16 and above are now eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccinations. All who live, work or study in Massachusetts may pre-register for an appointment at a mass vaccination location here. The state’s 7-day weighted average positivity rate fell further over the past week, reaching 1.24% on May 8.
