Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony, Placement of Time Capsule, and Virtual Community-Wide Celebration Set for August 28
Cape Ann, MA --- August 18, 2020 --- The Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce and its affiliated Cape Ann Community Foundation today announced the opening of its new office and visitor center at 24 Harbor Loop in Gloucester, marking a major milestone for both organizations, the Chamber’s members, and the entire Cape Ann community.

The 30-minute film is still being edited, and original music is being composed for the film now by Russ Gershon. The Quarry Dances were born from a vision of Ina Hahn, Windhover’s founding Director, whose goal was to marry the art of dance with the pristine granite landscapes of the magical quarries of Cape Ann.

Dashboard for August 17: The most recent daily Dashboard of Public Health Indicators continues to report encouraging trends. The positive test rate (7-day weighted average) has remained below 2% since early July and is now down to 1.4%, its lowest observed value since data collection began. The 3-day weighted average number of hospitalized patients has stayed below 400 since July 24, with 367 reported hospitalized as of August 16.
New Travel Order Remains in Effect. As of August 1, with certain exemptions, visitors to Massachusetts and Massachusetts residents returning from states other than Hawaii, New York and the other New England states (with the exception of Rhode Island) are now required to self-quarantine for 14 days unless they have had a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of arriving.
