Small Business Weeks Celebratory Luncheon

The Small Business Persons of the Year Celebratory Luncheon is scheduled for Friday, June 17 at Castle Manor Inn from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

Retail Signage Improvement Grant Program & Pop Up Program

The Greater Cape Ann Chamber is holding a virtual informational session for all Gloucester businesses about the City of Gloucester's Retail Signage Improvement Grant & Pop Up Program.
The Retail Signage Grant Program is intended to assist commercial property owners or tenants in eligible buildings improve their storefront signage, awning, and/or sign related lighting. The purpose of the program is to improve the visual quality of the city’s retail business districts and to enhance the districts as a place to visit, shop and work. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply no later than Friday, June 17, 2022.

Gloucester Rotary to Honor Tony Corrao

The Gloucester Rotary has named Tony Corrao as a Paul Harris Fellow, the prestigious award named after the Chicago lawyer who founded Rotary in 1905. Corrao was selected by a committee of previous recipients of the award, and will be honored at a special dinner on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Cruiseport Gloucester, located at 6 Rowe Square in downtown Gloucester. The social hour will begin at 5:30pm, followed by dinner at 6:30pm.

Greenbelt – Essex County’s Land Trust’s 33rd annual Art in the Barn event returns in-person. One of the North Shore’s premier, juried art shows, Art in the Barn showcases the work of more than 130 local artists. Throughout the Cox Reservation, the barns are filled with paintings, ceramics, jewelry, sculptures and more. A silent auction will feature select pieces by Daphne Borden and Donald MacLachlan. Friday evening will feature music, Butter UR Biscuit food truck, and True North Ales. This festive evening is open to the public! Admission and parking are free.

Schooner Adventure Public Sailings

(under age 18 when accompanied by a paying adult) Under the leadership of new Executive Director Stuart Siegel, the Schooner Adventure begins sailing in service to the community earlier this season than in previous years. Public Sails commence Memorial Day weekend with two sails daily on most weekends this summer through the third week in September.

The PMC Kids Rides program was born in 2005 and the Cape Ann, MA chapter was established in 2013 thanks to Alexis and her family. Since its inception our chapter has raised over $40,000 dollars of unrestricted funds. The Kids Rides program is for children ages 2–15 years old and our chapter has produced many adult PMC riders as they have come of age. We are always looking for volunteers & sponsors to help us facilitate this program. Ready to get involved? We hope to see you at our next event!
