Gordon Florist & Greenhouses in Ipswich Celebrates 100 Year Anniversary
Congratulations on this tremendous milestone! The Gordon family started the business back in 1922 as Samuel C. Gordon and Sons, when they built a glass greenhouse on their property in Ipswich, Massachusetts. They began by growing different varieties of cut flowers, carried a very small selection of house plants, and grew poinsettias, pansies, and geraniums in the greenhouse. Now, as Gordon Florist and Greenhouses, they use the very same glass greenhouse built in 1922 to grow their own mums, poinsettias, pansies, geraniums, and perennials.
