Good Afternoon Family Reunification Providers,
Thank you again for all that you that you have done to ensure that post release services for our Family Reunification Program are still being provided during the COVID-19 pandemic, and that the children in our program continue to be safe.
On Friday, March 20th, we conducted a Family Reunification Program check-in, where information was provided on updates from ORR, provide clarity and further guidance on conducting remote virtual visit for post release services. Based on questions that were presented prior to,during, and after the check-in, the Family Reunification Virtual Visit FAQ's were created.
The Family Reunification Virtual Visit FAQ's, is long, but hopefully very thorough
and provides guidance for agencies that may have
any issues and concerns regarding compliance
issues with HIPAA, as well as specific
guidance to case managers on how to proceed with conducting
the virtual visit.
While reviewing the FAQ's, please remember that USCCB/MRS encourages all Safe Passages Family Reunification providers to follow all CDC, state/local, and agency policies regarding how staff should interact with families during the COVID-19 pandemic; if you have any questions and/or concerns regarding the FAQ'a and how to provide services, please reach out to myself or your assigned CSS.
We will continue to update the FAQ's as we
receive
further guidance from ORR, or we receive updated questions from programs.
Please continue to provide your assigned CSS with any updates on state or agency guidance that impacts services.
Again, thank you for your continued endeavors in ensuring the safety of the children and families in our program.
Regards,
Jaime Duckett, LCSW-C
