Note: Many of SPAAR's classes provide Minnesota real estate continuing education. Continuing education courses must be attended in their entirety in order to receive credit for the number of approved hours (MN Statute 45.30 Subd.4a).  See full list of classes here .
SPAAR is now accepting applications for Board positions
Consider serving on the Board of Directors for the Saint Paul Area Association of REALTORS® (SPAAR). The 2019 Nominating Committee is looking to fill three director positions for 2020. The position has a three-year term and directors are asked to make attending all Board meetings a priority.
SPAAR is also accepting applications for three officer positions: treasurer, president-elect and president.
What are benefits of serving as a director or officer of SPAAR?
As a Board Member you'll have:
  • Opportunities to both learn from and teach others
  • Direct involvement in decisions that impact the association
  • A broader professional network of members, the community and civic leaders
  • New experiences that develop professional and personal skills
  • Social opportunities that often lead to lasting friendships
All candidates must have been a member of the association for one year prior to the date of the nomination and must be a REALTOR® member in good standing with no ethics violations within the past year.

Edgerton Community Garden open house is May 3

SPAAR, through the Community Engagement Committee, has partnered with the City of Maplewood to help implement its strategic plan for the Edgerton Community Garden.

SPAAR donated a bench and arbor at the garden's entrance and will install a Little Free Library. Learn more about the Edgerton Community Garden, which is located in SPAAR's neighborhood!

Come to the open house on Friday, May 3, from 4:30-6:30pm where you can meet the garden coordinator, garden volunteers and socialize with other new and returning gardeners.

The back-up plan for inclement weather during the open house is inside the Edgerton School Gym.
Coon Rapids Forum a great resource for REALTORS®
Register here for the forum, which is designed to provide REALTORS® with information that is informative and helpful as they assist homebuyers and property owners to buy and sell properties in Coon Rapids. This educational offering is recognized by the Minnesota Commissioner of Commerce as satisfying 2 hours of credit toward continuing real estate education requirements.
Toastmasters provides an hour of professionalism and fun!
"I expected to gain some confidence in my public speaking ability, but I didn't expect it to be fun," said a Toastmasters participant at a recent meeting held at SPAAR.

Toastmasters is a great way to improve your speaking skills, gain leadership experience and learn how to efficiently run a meeting from start to finish. Worried about speaking in front of a group? To date, all participants have survived and thrived!

The "Tot Boss" food truck will be onsite for lunch during this member appreciation event at SPAAR's 325 Roselawn Avenue East location.

Registration is open for this year's event "Real Estate Professionalism and Today's Market" that has been approved by the Minnesota Department of Commerce for 3 hours of real estate CE credit.
